it's just what the word 'sex' means to you then. For one it means 'penetration' for the other it means 'two persons having intercourse'.

what i meant was, of someone thinks that sex and rape are the same, that person will think so because there both is a penetration of some kind involved.

the debate is pretty silly anyways becos its arguing a linguistic piont (ie. whether rape is hyponymic to sex).

Lets just assume for a moment that you are correct on the linguistic/semantic level. On a film level rape is totaly different becos the themes it depicts have more in common with a torture scene than a love scene.
